Jennifer Delano is a Dutch artist and publicity agent.
In 2002, Jennifer Delano wrote a winning poem in the VSB Poetry Slam. In 2003, she produced, on Radio Voorne, a program called 'Examen Radio.' Besides writing the lyrics and script, and providing the music, she hosted the program. In the same year, she won one of the writing competitions at Inktaap. This resulted in a performance in the Concert Hall in Ghent, Belgium. She wrote for Cabaret Show, LAM; after that group split up, she joined cabaret group Also Quatsch. This trio formed with Dennis Rust and Pim Quant. As a soloist, Jennifer won the VE90 Sing Songwriter contest.
In 2004, she focused on working full-time as an artist. As a model, she was published in Cosmo, Blend, Celebrity, Focus, and Hema. She co-produced shows such as Amsterdam Fashion Week, Haruco Vert, L'Oreal, Tony & Guy, Davines, Color Trophy, O'Neill, Week of Lingerie and Elle Style Award. In addition, she worked for Mexx, Tommy Hilfiger, Stills, Turn Over, Elle Unlimited and Anky. In 2005 she launched her company, The Artist Advice.
In September 2007, she designed her first fashion collection for the release of Artist Magazine to the press. It was published on the cover of Parool and Metro.
Jennifer Delano made national news with a televised series called "Eyedentity," a production of the VPRO. The series portrayed an individual, played by Jennifer, as trapped in an apartment with no communication with the outside world except through the internet. Eyedentity was created by the School of the Arts of Utrecht (HKU), the Privacy Project, and HollandDoc / VPRO. Television viewers embraced Delano's fake character, and despite many strange situations, and intentionally bad film clips, even the users of VPRO's internet site believed it. People want to believe what they see, and the makers of Eyedentity wanted to create an awareness of that.
On April 30, 2008, Delano organized a catwalk as a respect statement on Queen's Day, which was widely published in (inter)national newspapers.
In 2008, the NPS television show, Vals Plat, produced an item on Delano, giving mention to both the "Eyedentity" series and the Queen's Day incident. The entry was directed by Tami Ravid and was broadcast on September 13, 2008.
On January 26, 2009, Delano launched a new publicity agency, JenJenPR, with the agency's first official stunt, a fashion show for Amsterdam Fashion Week.
In April 2009, Jennifer's book, "Reaching your goals as a model," (ISBN 978-90-489-0022-0) was published by Shaker Publishing Media.
In May 2009, Jennifer released "Rape The World," a music album with producer Hens Zimmerman.
